Automated EDI Processing with Boomi Integration

NeosAlpha implemented an end-to-end Boomi integration framework to retrieve COARRI and CODECO EDIFACT messages from email sources and automatically transform them into XML format for ERP submission.

Intelligent Email Processing and Filtering

Boomi’s IMAP connector was configured to automatically filter incoming emails by subject line and environment indicators, such as test or production. This ensured only relevant messages were processed.

Advanced Data Transformation and Mapping

Using Boomi’s mapping components and custom logic, the container status and movement direction fields were transformed in accordance with business rules. EDIFACT data was converted into structured XML for ERP compatibility.

ERP Integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365

The solution is integrated directly with Dynamics 365 to enable real-time updates of container status and operational data. XML payloads were wrapped in JSON and encoded in Base64 to meet ERP integration requirements.

Automated Bill of Lading Processing

Boomi workflows were implemented to automatically identify Bill of Lading messages from Dynamics 365 message queues. XML files were extracted, processed, and routed to the appropriate billing agents according to predefined mapping rules.

Dynamic Agent Mapping and Communication Framework

A scalable mapping system was developed to manage agent contact information. Party ID–based routing ensured shipping documents were delivered to the appropriate recipients without manual intervention.

Automated Message Queue Management

The integration included automated queue processing within Dynamics 365 to prevent duplication and ensure message accuracy. Completed transactions were automatically marked as processed to maintain workflow integrity.
